A Friendly Bread
A Friendly Bread specializes in Obsessible Sourdough Snacks, made out of their signature delicious, naturally leavened sourdough bread. Lane Levine started the business out of his house in 2017. A Friendly Bread consists of a small, diligent team of bakers who produce our obsessible snacks. They make it themselves: sourdough is finicky and requires deep knowledge and expertise to make.

The Challenge:
Having been a loyal client for an extended period, A Friendly Bread placed their trust in the Gilah team to design a modernized logo. With a shift in focus from fresh bread to the packaged consumer goods market, AFB required a versatile brand identity that could adapt to various projects and sizes. This called for a more modular approach, ensuring the logo could be effectively utilized across a range of applications.The Solution:
We developed taglines, a logo mark, and a logotype that exudes a warm and approachable vibe, perfectly aligning with the friendly brand identity. This logo not only showcases their cheerful persona but has also played a pivotal role in elevating A Friendly Bread from a local business to a recognized national presence.

In addition to developing the brand identity, we were given the exciting opportunity to design visually appealing packaging for Lane's range of Toasts and frozen Sourdough Grilled Cheese.The Solution:
Recognizing the inherent beauty of these products, we made the strategic decision to prominently feature photography on the packaging. By placing the delicious contents front and center, we aimed to entice new customers with their visual appeal. As a result, these products have gained widespread recognition and popularity, transitioning from being available solely in local grocers to being stocked in national chains such as Whole Foods and Giant.
